Palliative care in-home support
Caring for the terminally ill at home is a
labour of love. Because the patient’s needs must come first,
caregivers often find it difficult to find time for themselves. Even
something as simple as a nap, a haircut or a walk can seem
impossible to schedule.
We have trained volunteers who can give caring in-home support for
people living with a life-limiting illness, companionship to attend
medical appointments and respite for their caregivers.
How to use our services for in-home support
Anyone can apply. The first step is to
download and complete
a
Referral Form with some basic information. Our volunteer
coordinator will call and make an appointment to visit and find out
what type of support we can offer that would be helpful to your
family.
