Angels in Memory

One of our most visible outreach activities takes place just before Christmas.  Since 2006 the Society has collaborated with community partners Chapters in Micmac Mall, Scotia Square and Sobeys on the Bedford Highway to present our Angels in Memory project.  We place large Christmas trees at each site.  Visitors to the tree are invited to make a donation of any amount and hang an angel in memory of someone dear to them.  By the end of the 10-day campaign, each tree is so densely covered in golden angels there is barely a spot of green still visible.  The effect is breathtaking.

The trees and the angels also offer members of the public an opportunity to share important memories with our volunteers and for the volunteers to introduce our organization and describe its work.

On-line donations can also be made to the Angel Tree campaign on-line at any time.  Please select "Angels in Memory" for the donation designation with a message with respect to the name to be placed on the angel tag.  An angel will then be placed on our tree at the Hospice House in memory or honour of your loved one.

Over the five years our Angel Tree campaign has been running, donations have totalled $xx,xxx — an important contribution to the society’s work and a tribute to the value people place in keeping memories alive.

Online donations are accepted anytime.  Please select "Angels in Memory" for the donation designation with a message with respect to the name to be placed on the angel tag.  An angel will then be placed on our tree at the Hospice House in memory or honour of your loved one.

We now have a
virtual Angels in Memory tree!

Please take a moment to visit our new virtual Angels in Memory tree and place a virtual angel on the virtual tree in memory of your loved one.
